Setting the table is one of my favorite parts of preparing for the perfect gathering, whether it be a Warm Summer Day Lunch or a Crisp Cold Winter Evening Dinner. The beautifully set dining area, with all the precisely placed accessories will be the first impression that your guests will have when entering your home or yard or where ever your venue of choice may be. The excitement of the preparation for my guests overwhelms me!!
I like mixing something old with something new when setting the dining area. I enjoy crystal but sometimes with a rustic twist. Vintage China pieces on your table surrounded by lite candles and fresh floral accents in delicate vases, all placed under a beautifully lite crystal chandelier makes for the perfect, elegant dinner. In this sense, I'm usually more old fashion than modern, hence my mixing things up a bit. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so stick with the mixture of the type of decor that stays true to you!
